We're just a bunch of ordinary folk who were tired of spending New Years Days doing nothing. It started in 2007 when two keen folk decided what better way to start the New Year than to jump in the sea. Many of their friends agreed and liked the idea so the following year they joined in. Every year since then the group has got bigger and bigger and so in 2010 we decided to raise some money for charity. This years charity is Marie Curie Cancer Care.
There is nothing quite like the feeling of running into the freezing cold sea, shrieking and laughing with everyone else then running out again to be wrapped in warm blankets and drink hot chocolate or soup. All who do it swear it won't be the last and you will too.
